We offer almost a full range of services including: 

General Ophthalmology

Routine eye exams and treatments for comprehensive eye care.

Contact Lens Prescription and Exams

Service available Monday thru Saturday except Wednesday and Thursday afternoon.
Appointment is not necessary. Medical examination is necessary for contact lenses purchase. The contact lens shop Wink Plaza is located next to our clinic office.

Exams by Certified Orthoptists

Exams for ambryopia, strabismus, diplopia, visual field assessment, etc.
Service every Friday afternoon and Saturday morning.  

Prescription for Spectacles

Service available Monday thru Saturday except Wednesday and Thursday afternoon.
Appointment is not necessary.

 

Cataract Surgery

We perform out-patient cataract surgery with small incision, phacoemulsification and interocular lens implant procedures. 

YAG Laser Treatment 

YAG Laser treament for after cataract.

Photocoagulation (Laser) Treatment

Photocoagulation (Laser) treatment (Thursday afternoon) for glaucoma, diabetic retionopathy and other retinal diseases.

Comprehensive Care for Glaucoma and Diabetic Retinopathy.

Our current surgical and clinical services are focused on cataract surgery and comprehensive care or glaucoma and diabetic retinopathy.
We do not provide surgery and other treatments for refractive correction. 

Visual acuity measurements used in Japan

The international standard of visual acuity measurement is used in Japan. Landolt C rings are used for the test charts and the measurements are presented in decimal units. Snellen charts are not used in Japan. See the chart below to convert.

Billing / Insurance

Payment for routine office visits are typically covered by the National Health and Social Health Insurance programs. If involved in the insurance program, 10%~30% of the payment will be charged. All payments at our clinic must be made by cash. We do not accept checks and cards.  If you forget your insurance card, the entire payment will be charged although an adjusted amount will be paid back later when the insurance card is presented. Cards are acceptable at Wink Plaza for contact lenses purchase.
